AI-driven VTuber, Neuro-sama, has just shattered the Twitch Hype Train world record, previously held by popular streamers PirateSoftware, IronMouse, and Kai Cenat.

Who is Neuro-sama, the AI-driven VTuber?

Neuro-sama is an AI-powered virtual streamer created in May 2019 by developer Vedal (vedal987). She gained rapid popularity in 2022 by streaming daily, mainly playing the rhythm game osu!, which boosted her followers from 2,825 to around 40,000 in December. A highlight from that year was her 1v1 victory against osu! champion mrekk.

In 2023, Neuro-sama continued to grow, reaching 50,000 followers in January and 400,000 by September. She expanded her content by singing "Blinding Lights" and introduced Evil Neuro, a mischievous counterpart, adding variety to her streams.

By 2024, Neuro-sama's follower count surged to 600,000. She participated in the Bilibili Ice & Fire Music Festival with Evil Neuro and hosted her second annual subathon in December, featuring a new Live2D model, an original music video titled "LIFE," and merchandise like an internet-connected lava lamp.
